Sebastian Vettel says his pole position for the European GP is proof that Red Bull will not be hampered by the FIA's recent clampdowns.
Ahead of this weekend's race in Valencia, the FIA banned teams from changing engine mapping after qualifying and ahead of grands prix.
Many believed this move would put an end to Red Bull's dominant qualifying form with the reigning World Champs reported to run extreme engine mapping in qualifying before lowering it to safer levels ahead of Sunday's races.
However, the FIA's ban had absolutely no effect on Red Bull at all in qualifying on Saturday with Vettel claiming pole position with a 1:36.975.
"Obviously there was a lot of talk going on beforehand going into this grand prix and there will be a lot of talk going into the next grand prix," he said.
"But everyone will lose out something and people expect us to lose more than others but that's where I disagree."
The German's pole position, his seventh of the campaign and Red Bull's eighth, was just the start of Red Bull's domination in qualifying as Mark Webber will line-up second on the grid, 0.188s down his team-mate.
"All in all, a very good day for us, it's very good to have the front row for our team," Vettel said.
"It will be a long race tomorrow, it's always tough here.
"It's a tricky circuit, there are so many corners, we have got 25 before we cross the line again. Especially in qualifying, to get every single corner right is very, very difficult, so to get the perfect lap in is quite tough.
"My first run was quite good, I was very happy and Mark obviously (moved up to second) in the second run.
"It's a good result and a good point to start from tomorrow, so we'll see what we can do."
