Nico Rosberg has called for changes to be made to the Korean pit-exit after colliding with Jaime Alguersuari in Practice Two.
The Mercedes GP got his braking point wrong in the wet in Friday's second session, sliding wide through the corner. And, at the same time as he made his mistake, Alguersuari was leaving the pits.
Rosberg was not able to avoid contact, hitting the STR side-on, which damaged his own front wing.
"I would be worth reconsidering if the pit exit couldn't be done a little bit differently," Rosberg told Autosport.
"It was not great circumstances, it just all came together. He came out at the exact wrong moment.
"I thought he was going to stop a little bit more to let me go through, but then he didn't and by the time I realised that, it was too late. It was just unfortunate."
Rosberg was forced to park his car on the side of the track as his damaged front wing was lodged under the front wheels of his car, costing the German valuable track-time.
"I could have made it back to the pits, but I didn't want to risk damaging the car. I didn't lose anything because it didn't dry out, but we were going really well with the intermediates."
Rosberg's incident came after his Mercedes GP team had expressed their concerns over the pit lane exit to BBC 5 live analyst Anthony Davidson.
Davidson revealed: "Mercedes told me they thought this pit lane was dangerous on the exit and that accident just confirmed it."
